Caesarean delivery rates have increased globally during the past three decades. is most important obstetrical procedure performed with complications that consist of postpartum hemorrhage, endometritis, thromboembolic events or incision infections. While surgical site infections (SSIs) complicate 1.9% all surgeries performed, incidence SSIs after caesarean significantly higher, almost 7-10%, constituting an cause morbidity, mortality, readmission, prolonged hospitalization and health care costs worldwide. Incisional infection happens in 2-7% cases, necrotizing fasciitis 0.18% endometritis 2-16%. Many risk factors for been described. This review includes several identified women who developed post-caesarean section We also provide overview strategies prevention postoperative including antibiotic prophylaxis, techniques, management wound Criteria diagnosis are given, as well current treatment regimens. Given impact maternal infection, it gynecologists to understand how prevent these infections, recognize treat them.
